All Nite Long - Lyrics - Jefferson Starship

Title: All Nite Long
Artist: Jefferson Starship
Composer(s): Jesse Barish, Craig Chaquico, Paul Kantner, Peter Sears, Marty Balin, John Barbata, David Freiberg, Grace Slick

{AdsenseCode:2D080010-7055-443A-8D12-2B79DDC71256}

Lyric:
If only the music would keep on playin'
If only I could dance with you
If only I could keep on singin'
All nite long, all nite long

If only we could dance together
All nite long, all nite long
If only we could keep this feelin'
Make it last all nite long

Waitin' for the next wave
Wonder what it's gonna be
Waitin' for the next
All nite long, all nite long

Oh, the dawn comes up like thunder
Somebody give me a light I need a little help
Through the darkness, just a little light, enough to get home
All nite long, all nite long

Sometimes the music?s a doorway
Out of the darkness into the light
Climb the dream I can make you dream
All nite long, all nite long

See the ruins of a once mighty castle
A land where the sun casts no shadow
Signs and wonders, the sound of thunder
All nite long, all nite long

Step into the sky
You won?t fall, I?ll tell you why
You got to be a sky rider
All nite long, all nite long

Oh, the dawn comes up like thunder
Somebody give me a light, I need a little help
Through the darkness, just a little light, enough to get me home
All nite long

I can read your mind and I know what you?re thinkin'
I can see your mind just as clear as my own
The pictures I see, they all tell a story
'Bout where we been, where we?re goin'

Tonight if only the music would keep on playin'
Tonight if only I could dance with you
Tonight if only we could keep on singin'
All nite long, all nite long

All nite long
All nite long
All nite long

{AdsenseCode:2D080010-7055-443A-8D12-2B79DDC71256}

Lyric:
Yo, since I've been in this game, yo
A lot of funny shit that happened with these hoes, man
And this shit I?m ?bout to tell you Mase
Is a true story, Puff know the bitch, uh, yo

You know I don?t wanna come across foul
I?m only telling you about my lifestyle
I had a girl named Kate I date in Georgia State
Girl named Samantha I met in Clark, Atlanta

I even knew these girls named Laura and Yvette
Switched up giving me head in Georgia Tech
Now flip the script, mess with girls that strip
Give ?em tips just so I can feel I?m they his

They like, Mase I like your eyes and I love your lips
I?m like, that ain?t enough to make you sit in the six
She said Mase, lot of things I wanna teach you ?bout
If I tell you my past, it?ll freak you out

Save your dough, you know I wanna treat you out
Fuck sucking your dick, I wanna eat you out
I?m like whoa now, slow down
You remind of these young chickens I knew from uptown

Got a butt like this girl that worked in Motown
So if we ain?t gonna fuck then where we go now
I don?t move too fast, you move too slow
You wasn?t saying this just a moment ago

You was sitting at the bar just spending my dough
You owe me something bitch, you gon? blow me or something
She said this thing you need to know before we fuck
I ain?t like all these other sluts

And if I told you I was a virgin you wouldn?t believe me
I know getting pussy for you is easy
You hit every bitch from Antee to a Tuskegee
Plus you know I know your girlfriend Kiki

And for a moment honey tried to freak me
But being the man I am I?m still in pimp mode
Could tell she was Harlem ?cause I seen her zip code
And then she started showing me pictures of Flip Mode

So I?m with my man and you know we gon? discuss her
All I could hear is him saying, don?t trust her
You know her lil? cousin fuck with Usher
Plus her best friend got a baby from Busta

So I layed back and peeped the ho?
It?s her word against his, I can?t believe the ho?
Yo, I only knew this girl from a weekend ago
And I figure she a freak, Cease would know

So I called up my nigga, I?m like Cease what up, what up
Is she a freak, nigga?
Cease been fucked, but Cease admitted
Yo, that he ain?t even hit it, now y?all I really don?t get it

And she tried to play mike like he?s some nigga in a Civic
And sucked Puff dick for some Budweiser tickets
Yo, you believe this bitch, yo?
She sucked his dick for some Budweiser tick

That bitch gonna give me my shit B, word up
I?m not even fucking playing
I bet you she give me my watch back though, I bet that
And all my fucking ice better be in it, too
Matter of fact, I want my fucking couch out that shit B
Word up, tell your sis get my fucking couch B, I ain?t fucking playing

Hard Luck Story - Lyrics - Men At Work

Title: Hard Luck Story
Artist: Men At Work
Composer(s): Colin Hay

{AdsenseCode:2D080010-7055-443A-8D12-2B79DDC71256}

Lyric:
Don't ask me to love my neighbor
'Cause I don't love the man
Don't ask me for my favors
I won't lend a hand

And if I had real power
Then I could disappear
Wouldn't have to be around you
I'd sink into the atmosphere

Then I wouldn't hear
Your hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story

Don't ask me to tip the waiter
For he is underhand
I can tell he is a woman hater
And he is a nasty man

Within reach, lies all desire
For each and every soul
Stripped bare and stretching higher
You fall into the last black hole

To end your hard
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story

Don't ask me to pray to Jesus
I've never met the Man
I only meet weekend preachers
Pictures of the promised land

All the new holy saviors
Who pretend to understand
Who do you think will save you?
A modern day beggar man

Such a hard
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story

It's such a hard
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story

(It's such a hard)
Don't ask me to love my neighbor
(Hard luck story)
Don't ask me to tip the waiter

(It's a hard luck)
Don't ask me to pray to Jesus
(Hard luck story)
He picked His time to leave us

It's a hard luck
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story

{AdsenseCode:2D080010-7055-443A-8D12-2B79DDC71256}

Lyric:
Can I get a hey hey?
I get a ho ho
Can I get a hey hey?
I get a ho ho

What's it gon' be today?
(Let's see)
The yellow Benz or the red Navi'
Iny, miny, ony, mo
That's the way I pick when I'm ready to roll
Murph Dert got the Limos wit his vehicles
(Yeah, that's the way it go when you got money to blow)

Ho! Well then, say no mo'
Just think, I was on my way to the sto'
I got scratched but I don't got nails
Got my own truck but I wanna drive trails
Plus I won a house in ATL and that depends on my sales
And I'm tryin' to get a mil before my album hit the shelves

And I ain't talkin' 'bout no signin' bonus
'Tics went platinum to remind ya homey
I'm not a restroom so ain't no need to stall
I don't run or walk now so I can give it to 'em all

Say hold up, wait a minute
Lemme put some pimpin' in it
Now, Big Booty I'm recommendin'
And I ain't been in this spot for a minute
Say hold up, wait a minute
She wanna get derrty wit it
Now, baby girl wanna handle her business
So I guess we'll be back when we finish

I don't wanna leave by myself
(Boy, you ain't gotta leave by yo'self)
Ooh, shiit, taxi

I call her back from an earlier week
4 in the mornin' they be like
(Mmm nah I ain't asleep)
Career whore, stay on top of convenient stores
Get pictures of me in they Victoria Secret drawers
Keep summin' hot on tour, couldn't keep anything hotter
Make sure they know before what is really in store
I adore the ones that call me Tohri, true story
I created hood rats, so these new models bore me

See I load up the 7 wit 7's, for 8's I can't wait
9's be one time and dimes we won't date
So now I got 11's and 12's
Wit at least 13 or 14 reasons why they fine as hell
I hit 'em up like Blu Cantrall, he-he-hell
I remember when you smashed the bail
I'm just a, derrty who can and you hatas stand out
I'm like the pie in the window, I'm just too damn hot

Say hold up, wait a minute
Lemme put some pimpin' in it
Now, Big Booty I'm recommendin'
And I ain't been in this spot for a minute
Say hold up, wait a minute
She wanna get derrty wit it
Now, baby girl wanna handle her business
So I guess we'll be back when we finish

I don't wanna leave by myself
(Boy, you ain't gotta leave by yo'self)
Ooh, shiit, taxi

(Can I get a hey hey?)
(Can I get a ho ho?)
Not you the one behind ya girl
I done spit 2 verses tryin' to find ya girl
And if you need a sex deal, lemme sign ya girl
Just give me your information
And I'll keep you in heavy rotation
I wanna touch you where the sun don't shine
I got a watch but I don't got time

So if you wit it, then you wit that's good
'Cuz if you not then I could simply take you back to the hood
'Cuz I love my hoes
Pimpin' ain't easy but it's under control
I got a lot of shit in me but I'm a commode
Cell phone, area code overload
I called Mannie in Louisian-ny
Said the mo's is off the hook and make 'em move they fanny

Say hold up, wait a minute
Lemme put some pimpin' in it
Now, Big Booty I'm recommendin'
And I ain't been in this spot for a minute
Say hold up, wait a minute
She wanna get derrty wit it
Now, baby girl wanna handle her business
So I guess we'll be back when we finish

Say hold up, wait a minute
Lemme put some pimpin' in it
Now, Big Booty I'm recommendin'
And I ain't been in this spot for a minute
Say hold up, wait a minute
She wanna get derrty wit it

Kenji - Lyrics - The Rising Tied - Fort Minor

Title: Kenji
Album: The Rising Tied
Artist: Fort Minor
Composer(s): Mike Shinoda

Lyric:
My father came from Japan in 1905
He was, 15 when he immigrated from Japan
He, he, he worked until he was able to buy this patch
And build a store

Let me, tell you the story in the form of a dream
I don't know why I have to tell it, but I know what it means
Close your eyes, just picture the scene
As I paint it for you, it was World War II
When this man named Kenji woke up
Ken was not a soldier
He was just a man, with a family, who owned a store in L.A.

That day, he crawled out of bed like he always did
Bacon and eggs with wife and kids
He lived on the second floor of a little store, he ran
He moved to L.A. from Japan
They called him 'Immigrant'
In Japanese, he'd say, he was called, Esay
That meant 'First generation in the United States'

When everyone was afraid of the Germans, afraid of the Japs
But most of all afraid of a homeland attack
And that morning when Ken went out on the doormat
His world went black 'cause
Right there, front page news, three weeks before 1942
"Pearl Harbour's been bombed and the Japs are comin'"

Pictures of soldiers dyin' and runnin'
Ken knew what it would lead to
Just like he guessed, the President said
"The evil Japanese in our home country will be locked away"
They gave Ken, a couple of days
To get his whole life packed in two bags
Just two bags, couldn't even pack his clothes

Some folks didn't even have a suitcase, to pack anything in
So two trash bags, was all they gave them
When the kids asked mum, "Where are we goin'?"
Nobody even knew, what to say to them
Ken didn't wanna lie, he said, "The US is lookin' for spies
So we have to live in a place called Mandinar
Where a lot of Japanese people are"

Stop it, don't look at the gunmen
You don't wanna get the soldiers wonderin'
If you gonna run or not,
'Cause if you run then you might get shot
Other than that, try not to think about it
Try not to worry 'bout it bein' so crowded
Someday, we'll get out, someday, someday

As soon as war broke out
The G.I. came and they just come to the house
And you have to come all the Japanese have to go
They took Mr.Lee, people didn't understand
Why did they have to take him?
Because he's an innocent labor

So now, they're in a town with soldiers surroundin' them
Every day, every night, look down at them
From watch towers up on the wall
Ken couldn't really hate them at all
They were just doin' their job and
He wasn't gonna make any problems

He had a little garden, with vegetables and fruits that
He gave to the troops in a basket his wife made
But in the back of his mind, he wanted his families life saved
Prisoners of war in their own damn country, what for?
Time passed in the prison town

He wanted them to live it down when they were free
The only way out was, joinin' the army
And supposedly, some men went out for the army, signed on
And ended up flyin' to Japan with a bomb
That 15 kilotonne blast, put an end to the war pretty fast
Two cities were blown to bits, the end of the war came quick

Ken got out, big hopes of a normal life, with his kids and his wife
But, when they got back to their home
What they saw made them feel so alone
These people had trashed every room
Smashed in the windows and bashed in the doors
Written on the walls and the floor 'Japs not welcome anymore'

And Kenji dropped both of his bags at his sides and just stood outside
He, looked at his wife without words to say
She looked back at him, wiped the tears away
And, said, "Someday, we'll be okay, someday"
Now, the names have been changed, but the story's true
My family was locked up back in '42
My family was there it was dark and damp
And they called it, an internment camp

When we first got back from camp, uhh
It was pretty, pretty bad, I, I remember my husband said
"Are we gonna stay 'til last?"
Then my husband died before they close the camp

Buckingham Blues - Lyrics - Weird Al Yankovic - Weird Al Yankovic

Title: Buckingham Blues
Album: Weird Al Yankovic
Artist: Weird Al Yankovic
Composer(s): Al Yankovic

{AdsenseCode:2D080010-7055-443A-8D12-2B79DDC71256}

Lyric:
Gonna tell you a story
About Chuck and Diane
Couple British kids from
The palace at Buckingham

Chuckie wants to grow up
And be a polo star
And ride his little horsies
All around the backyard, oh yeah

You know they really paid their dues
I said, "Hey, lawdy mama
They got them Buckingham blues"

Now Chuckie goes hunting
And leaves Diane alone
So she fixes her hair
And she talks on the princess phone

Chuckie's still tryin' to figure out
What his job's supposed to be
And Diane's the fashion leader
Of the aristocracy

I said, "Hey, Lady Di
Tell me where'd you get them shoes, ah
Well, hey nonny nonny
Looks like you got them Buckingham blues"

Aw, bein' heir to the throne, well
It must be awful hard
Gotta pose for pictures
Out on the front yard

And Lady Di, well
She must have it pretty rough
Gotta hang around the house all day
Makin' babies and stuff

On another game of croquet
Then they're off on a Caribbean cruise
Well, hey bop-a-re-bop
They really got them Buckingham blues

Ah, tell the truth, now, tell the truth
Wow

I got my mojo workin'
Yeah, woo, don't help me now
Ah, hurt me, mama, whoa, ah

They don't serve no Twinkies
With their afternoon tea
Never had a dinner
Made by Chef Boyardee

Bein' in the spotlight
Is a hard life to choose
Diane drops half a pound
It's on the six o'clock news, oh yeah

Those kids have really paid their dues
Oh, what a royal pain it is
When you got them Buckingham blues

Two Sides To Every Story - Lyrics - Five

Title: Two Sides To Every Story
Artist: Five
Composer(s): Rich Neville, Halgeir Rustan, S Robinson, Mikkel Erikson, Tor Erik Hermansen

Lyric:
Yea yea, come on

Two sides from the heart, well it's alright, alright
Wanna know about me, well it's the way, it's got to be
There's more to me than what you see on TV screens is make believe
Think you know about us, well it's an element of trust
Come talk to me respectfully 'cause these days we're public property
Ohh ohh ohh, from the heart
Ohh ohh ohh ohh, like us from the start

'Cause there's two sides to every story
If you can know me, you gotta show me
But it's alright, don't be sorry
It's just the way I am
'Cause there's two sides to every story
If you can know me, you gotta show me
But I'm telling you once again, "You gotta go for who I am"
I'm telling you once again, "You gotta go for who I am"

Yeah yeah, it's alright, I'm telling you, "There's two sides"
Yeah, yeah it's alright, it's the just the way I am

Do you care about me or the pictures that you see?
Are we just a face without a personality?
Yeah, yeah
Do you care about us or the funking that we bust?
There's more to us than magazines
And dance routines and teenage dreams
Ohh ohh ohh, oh yeah, from the heart
Ohh ohh ohh ohh, like us from the start

'Cause there's two sides to every story
If you can know me, you gotta show me
But it's alright, don't be sorry
It's just the way I am
'Cause there's two sides to every story
If you can know me, you gotta show me
But I'm telling you once again, "You gotta go for who I am"
I'm telling you once again, "You gotta go for who I am"

Yeah yeah, it's alright, I'm telling you, "There's two sides"
Yeah yeah, it's alright, I'm telling you, "There's two sides"
Yeah yeah, it's alright, I'm telling you, "There's two sides"
Yeah yeah, it's alright, it's the just the way I am

'Cause there's two sides to every story
If you can know me, you gotta show me
But it's alright, don't be sorry
It's just the way I am
'Cause there's two sides to every story

187 He Wrote - Lyrics - Spice 1

Title: 187 He Wrote
Artist: Spice 1
Composer(s): Robert Lee Green Jr., Gentry Reed, Barry White

{AdsenseCode:2D080010-7055-443A-8D12-2B79DDC71256}

Lyric:
I'm tryin' to keep my aces and my deuces all together
I'm thinkin' of self-murder, I know I won't live forever
This chronic got me noid I need to get a job
But instead I wanna sell dope hang on a rope and steady mobb

I'm wakin' up in the morning thinkin' of death
As I break out in a cold sweat
I'm havin' dreams of a whole family put to rest
Visions of a dead man body bags
And all the youngsters gettin' their cap peeled over colored rags

I write about murder and death 'cause that's all in the hood
Comin' up strong while in crack, yo G it's all good
Describin' a way of life that they don't understand G
So I'mma keep breakin' it down until dey understand me

You see it's real G and jealousy it roam my block
That's why I'm never leavin' the house without my plastic glock
'Cause if they want it they'll take it and kill for it
And if it's worth sumptin' then blood gettin' spilled for it

My mother thinks I'm goin' crazy
And when I leave the house she just stares out the window
I think I'm being followed every time I leave my home
Havin' these fatal thoughts of gettin' chrome to my dome

18, 187 me say the murder the murder he wrote
18, 187 me say the murder the murder he wrote, blow

Did things up in the past that I regret at 22
And when I hit 23 I hope I'm livin' well as you
It's good to be alive in 93 I guess that so
But if I gotta go, I gotta go, I gotta go

I guess I'm just a soldier with a song out of the streets black
Stressin' of that chronic sack but I feel death is knockin' at my bed
Sleep walkin' with my pistol in the middle of the night
Wakin' up inside my hooptie holdin' my Glock full of fright

Violent in this art that's only because
It's comin' from a G to the heart
Got friends that have died and I mourn for their families
Bringin' flowers to dey graves every time I get a chance G

Nuthin' like a old school homie from the hood
Which are right or wrong doin' dirt doin' good
And now I know inside I'll never see my boy again
I fie myself always pour brew out fo my friends

18, 187 me say the murder the murder he wrote
18, 187 me say the murder the murder he wrote, blow

I'm keepin' all my pictures from my homies up in jail
If I told you what dey did it will problably turn your pale
I used to hang with killers and I didn't even know
Wrestlin' with my homies as a youngster age 4

Now half of dem is dead and the rest is in the jailhouse
Writin' to me monthly givin they homies sumtin' to rap about
Tell me do my music and don't trip off what dey say
Thinkin' to myself I might just be in there one day

Some stayed about the big house and still slangin' yay
And now dey stayin' under diction of feds everyday
Tryin' to wash their money they wanna go on tour G
Gettin' into the business learn about the industry

Try to help 'em out doin' everythang I can
I still gotta worry 'bout the next jealous man
My homies gettin' robbed so they rob somebody else
You can see it never stops let that story tell itself

I'm walkin' with my head down pervin' in the rain
Thinkin' deep askin' myself am I insane
I think about that daily and I'm leavin' on that note
And that's the definition of the 187 that he wrote

18, 187 me say the murder the murder he wrote
18, 187 me say the murder the murder he wrote, blow

That'S Why They Call It A Union - Lyrics - Anthem - Less Than Jake

Title: That'S Why They Call It A Union
Album: Anthem
Artist: Less Than Jake
Composer(s): Chris Demakes, Vinny Fiorello, Roger Manganelli

{AdsenseCode:2D080010-7055-443A-8D12-2B79DDC71256}

Lyric:
There's a black cloud over this house
That's been around for 3 years now
There's a thunderstorm inside and it won't go away
No it won't go away

That's why they call it a union, that's why they call it a union
That's why they call it a union

I remember him turning around, he said, "Son, I'll be leaving now
I can't be the person that you want me to be and then she said
"So things are finally ending now I knew you'd be walking out
You can't be the person that you want me to be, want me to be"

3 years of all the arguments, 3 years of all this silence
Has been enough to last me a lifetime
3 years of all the arguments, 3 years of all this pain

That's why they call it a union, that's why they call it a union
So both of you please forgive me tonight
That's why they call it a union, so please forgive me tonight

I remember him turning around, he said, "Son, I'll be leaving now
You can't be the person that I want you to be, want you to be"

3 years of all the arguments, 3 years of all this silence
Has been enough to last me a lifetime
3 years of all the arguments, 3 years of all this pain

That's why they call it a union, that's why they call it a union
So both of you please forgive me tonight
That's why they call it a union so please forgive me tonight

I can't look at the pictures anymore
Because I know how it's run its course
And I know hoe the story ends I know it ends

There's a black cloud over this house
That's been around for 3 years now
There's a thunderstorm inside, and another fight tonight

There's a black cloud over this house
That's been around for 3 years now
There's a thunderstorm tonight and it won't go away
No it won't go away

That's why they call it a union, that's why they call it a union
So both of you please forgive me tonight
That's why they call it a union, so please forgive me tonight
So please forgive me tonight, so please forgive me goodnight

Lyric:
Yeah
Uhh, no doubt, son, word up

Word up, son, I heard they got you on the run
Filled with body, now it's time to stash the guns
They probably got the phones tap, so I won't speak long
Gimme a half second and I'ma put you on
It's all messed up, somebody's snitchin' on the crew
And word is on the street is, they got pictures of you
Homicide came to the crib last night, six deep
Axin' on your whereabouts, so where do you sleep?

They said they just wanna question you, but me and you know
That once they catch you, all they do is just arrest you
Then arraign you, hang you, I don't think so
It's a good thing you bounced but now you're stayin' low
Once in a blue, I check to see how you doin'
I know you need loot, so I send it through Western Union
They probably knock down the door
In the middle of the night, sometimes around four
Hopin' to find who they're lookin' for but they want to see
All they gonna find is mad empty bags of weed

But worse, son, you got the projects hotter than hell
Harder for brothers to get their thug on but oh, well
Son, they know too much, even the hood rat chicks
Oh, you heard who did what and why I don't this shit
So stop askin', then I know I'm not goin' crazy
From windows, I see lights flashin' and maybe
Somebody's takin' pictures, you know who that be
Police lovers and neighborhood snitches
They put up pert ice, so everybody's pointin' fingers
And lyin', aiyo son, the temp is risin'

Temperature's risin' and there's nothin' surprisin'
The temperature's risin', huh and there's nothin' surprisin'
The temperature's risin', huh and there's nothin' surprisin'
The temperature's risin', there's nothin' surprisin'

What up, black? Hold your head wherever you at
On the flow from the cops or wings on your back
That snitch nigga gave police your location
We'll chop his body up in six degrees of separation
Killer listen, shit ain't the same without you at home
Phony niggas walk around tryin' to be your clone
They really fear you, when you was at home you was pale
That's why they wanna see you either dead or in jail

By the time you hear this rhyme you probably be locked up
Tried to hustle, where along the lines your plan slipped up
Got caught up in a crime that you can't take back
Reminisce on how I use to pick you up in the Ac
Years ago when we was younger seemed the hood
Took us under very deep
Wonderin' who snitched and got me losin' lots of sleep
At night, you know my mouth is tight
I never sang to the cops 'cos that shit ain't right
Sometimes, I stroll past the scene of the crime and backtrack
Damn, why the situation go down like that?

It'll be a long time before the heat dies down
In a couple of years, fool, we'll see you around
But 'til then, maintain and keep you story the same
The cops is grabbin' wrong niggas, lookin' for someone to blame
They harrassin', strugglin' to find the truth
Is it a chance you case'll get thrown out 'cos they ain't got no proof

To say you're guilty, your fingerprints filthy
Deliver me the gun, I'll tie two, quickly throw it in the river
Make sure it sinks to the bottom
Our smart police snuck you out at the projects, we got 'em
But still, but still, but still

Temperature's risin' and there's nothin' surprisin'
Temperature's risin' and there's nothin' surprisin'
Temperature's risin' and there's nothin' surprisin'
Temperature's risin' and there's nothin' surprisin'

Temperature's risin' and there's nothin' surprisin'
Temperature's risin' and there's nothin' surprisin'
Temperature's risin' and there's nothin' surprisin'
Temperature's risin' and there's nothin' surprisin'

Scattered - Lyrics - Nimrod - Green Day

Title: Scattered
Album: Nimrod
Artist: Green Day
Composer(s): Michael Pritchard, Frank E., Iii Wright, Billie Joe Armstrong

Lyric:
Well I've got some scattered pictures lying on my bedroom floor
Reminds me of the times we shared
Makes me wish that you were here
'Cause now it seems I've forgotten my purpose in this life
All the songs have been erased
Guess I've learned from my mistakes

Well open the past and present now and we are there
Story to tell and I am listening
Open the past and present and the future too
It's all I've got and I'm giving it to you

Well loose ends tied in knots
Leaving a lump down in my throat
Well gagging on a souvenir, live to tell another year
Well drag it on and on until my skin is ripped to shreds
Leaving myself open wide
Living out a sacrifice

Open the past and present now and we are there
Story to tell and I am listening
Open the past and present and the future too
It's all I've got and I'm giving it to you

If you got no one
And I've got no place to go
Would it be alright?
Could it be alright?

I've got some scattered pictures lying on my bedroom floor
Reminds me of the times we shared
Makes me wish that you were here
'Cause now it seems I've forgotten my purpose in this life
Well all the songs have been erased
Guess I've learned from my mistakes

Well open the past and present now and we are there
Story to tell and I am listening
Open the past and present and the future too

I Thought I'D Write To Juliet - Lyrics - Elvis Costello

Title: I Thought I'D Write To Juliet
Artist: Elvis Costello
Composer(s): Jacqueline Thomas, Paul Cassidy, Michael Thomas, Ian Belton, Macmanu

Lyric:
I thought I'd write to Juliet
For she would understand
And when someone is already dead
They can no longer let you down

Instead I find myself talking to you
As my oldest friend
Tell me how I can advise someone
That I don't even know to welcome death

For I received a letter that is worth reporting
And though it may raise a cynical smile
It leaves a sinking feeling

Like when a soldier in a story says to the sergeant
"Have you seen my pride and joy?"

You know the rest
And it's no joke
Forgive me please
As I quote

"This is a letter of thanks
As I'm so bored herein I can't say where
So I'm writing to people that I may never meet
And I was thinking if something you said"

?I'm a female soldier, my name is Constance
I enlisted in the military needing funds for college
I'm twenty-three years old and if I do get home alive
I imagine I may think again?

?I'm sleeping with my eyes open for fear of attack
Your words are a comfort, they're the best thing that I have
Apart from family pictures and of course, my gas mask
I don't know why I am writing to you?

Think I'M Crazy - Lyrics - The Sound of Revenge - Chamillionaire

Title: Think I'M Crazy
Album: The Sound of Revenge
Artist: Chamillionaire
Composer(s): Gert Yvonne M Bettens, Nsilo Reddick, Sarah Bettens, Hakeem T Seriki, Nicholas W Sherwood

Lyric:
I want to know who you are but you still look very nice
So will you talk to me?
Should I tell you a story? Should I tell you a treat?
They think I'm crazy, they don't understand how I feel

See, it started off as just a simple conversation I gave her
The name of my record company
(Oh you're a Sanger)
I said my name's Chamillionaire and I'm a rap entertainer

Oh you that guy they talking 'bout when they be whisperin', ain't cha
Bring your name up when they talking and say money will change ya
I heard a lot about how you can't deal with your anger
Heard the rumors how you're always in trouble or danger
Not gotta judge you if it's true, there's no need to explain sir
You do have a right to be, you seem like you're nice to me
And like you're gonna buy me another drink, yeah would you like a seat?

I tell the boy the same Hennessey on ice for me
Her drink starts emptying as she's pouring out her life to me
Telling me about her goals and how successful she would like to be
And invite me to a session of her life
And she seems so damn innocent but something isn't right to me
She pulls out her picture phone, "I got pictures, would you like to see?"

I'm thinking she gotta be friendly as hell
Giving a soul to me, it's like an identity sell
We never met is the story that my memory tells
Telling me tales like she doesn't handle Hennessey well

Getting into it, getting intimate and into details
See, I just met you and you showing me your kids
Who said I had any kids? I didn't bring up no kids
Then who's in this picture? Man, let you show you just who it is

I want to know who you are but you still look very nice
So will you talk to me?
Should I tell you a story? Should I tell you a treat?
They think I'm crazy, they don't understand how I feel

Umm, I don't remember her name but she look like an angel
She wasn't from here, I knew she didn't hang a
Round a part of the hood but hey the story gets stranger
'Cause this stranger was stranger than I could explain you see

She said she wasn't married but the rings on her finger
Told me she was langin' and using the same uh
Game I use on women so I couldn't even blame her
Spitting the game I spit to 'em when I'm trying to bang her

I bump into this dime, he told me that he used to know you
He told me about the loyalty and love he used to show you
He said what he said with a passion like it was so true
Wouldn't take advantage of the fact
That the listeners didn't really know you

There's pictures in my pocketbook, almost got it, I'll show you
She digs in her purse and while she fumbles around
I find that photo, I'm like, "Oh no there's some trouble in town"
I turn around as these two officers is coming in now

They walk in real suspicious and come and sit down
So close, I can see they barrels of the guns to the ground
So close that they can listen to either of us now
We turn back around and she says no need for whispering
Then she tells me that

I don't really give a damn whose listening
Try to make it last a long time was my mission
And he kept on tripping and then I got pissed at him
Hit 'em with my fist and my punches were never missing him

I want to know who you are but you still look very nice
So will you talk to me?
Should I tell you a story? Should I tell you a treat?
They think I'm crazy, they don't understand how I feel

Okay, let's get this straight, your man cheated on you and now
You talking to a perfect stranger like it's making you proud
And the rest of this conversation she just telling me how
It wasn't her boyfriend in the pic but a familiar smile
She said

Pictures can be deceiving like she knew he was foul
Look closer, you'll see a coward who uses a smile's power
Fleeing the smoke strength, couldn't stand it another hour
So she did what she did then she went to go take a shower

Damn what do you mean?
(Couldn't tell you that I missin' him)
I don't understand what you're saying, how did you get rid of him?
She dissing him, as I ask her what it is she did to him

She stops, ay keep talkin' I'm listening
(I don't wanna tell about the images I'm picturing)
Henny spilling then she tell me
(For real and I got the feeling of what I'm feeling
Is that I wanted to kill him)

Something's wrong here and I know just who is the villain
The poison's getting louder, the moral is getting clearer
The officers is looking at us and I can tell they can hear her, told me
(It was protection, reached for it in the stash)

The plastic is what she grabbed and she put it right on his ass
Bust it before the blast, she thought she was free at least
Baby I think you crazy, sorry I'm pressing for time
I gotta go grind, time's putting to resting
Now I'm sweating and stressing, this girl's got me guessing

That this conversation is two types of evil confession
And she pulls a clearer picture, it's my damn ex-best friend
How you know him? She told me she was with him at his house
Watching movies on Sundays when they be chilling

And that's exactly the day that the hospital came to get him
The feeling was the worst feeling that she could possibly be feeling
Stood up and then I yelled out, "Why in the hell did you kill him?"
I didn't kill him, I have AIDS, he had sex with 'em and that's crazy

Don'T Cry - Lyrics - Untold Story - Game

Title: Don'T Cry
Album: Untold Story
Artist: Game
Composer(s): Joseph Tom, Sean Montel Smith, Jayceon Taylor

Lyric:
Amayah wake up baby
I know you're sleepin', but daddy's home now
Pictures gettin' old, my lil' girl lookin' grown now
Your mom's said you're talkin' on your own, walkin' on your own now
Run across the kitchen floor in them baby drawers

I sent you from off tour and I miss you when I was tourin'
Smilin' at them baby pictures, so happy, tears pourin'
God, how can somethin' so beautiful come from me?
After the gunshots, thought you was done with me

But I know, I'm livin' now, why you made me put the guns down?
Pick up the mic, start rappin' for a living now
My sun, my moon, my stars, my earth
My wind, my fire, my life, my baby

Tryin' to make your moms life ya must be crazy, fussin' and fightin'
I know she love me 'cause you looks just like me
Day you came into this world, I was so excited
Eleven twenty one, double zero, my baby girl is here

Yo, yo, you see this rap shit, I do it for you
And the first time I heard your voice
I prayed to God it had to be true
Got a son now, cuttin' the game, stoppin' the bullshit
Remember

Yo, yo, you see this rap shit, I do it for you
And the first time I heard your voice
I prayed to God it had to be true
Got a son now, cuttin' the game, stoppin' the bullshit
The bullshit

Yo, yo, you see this rap shit, I do it for you
And the first time I heard your voice
I prayed to God it had to be true
Got a son now, cuttin' the game, stoppin' the bullshit

Remember eyein' your enemy, can you pull quick
Dipped out Cali, came back, snatched my son
My girl moms and I moved out Maui
Yeah, your pop's gone bananas, seen wild went hard
Bigger house, wider yard, nappy with the crash bar

Off that hersh', shit you stupid, you ain't no dad nigga
Takin' your black ass to court for all you have nigga
You see me and your moms, that's another topic
Ain't no whip in this world with a price you can't cop it

Press rewind, you didn't hear me right
It's a lesson to the song, I'm tryin' to steer you right
Just remember your father taught you to go home
Never sing that sad song, don't cry

Just remember your father taught you to go home
Never sing that sad song, don't cry
Just remember your father taught you to go home
Never sing that sad song, don't cry

Huh, daddy ain't gon' preach to you
I'ma let your moms school you
Don't let the streets fool you
Streets'll do you, that's why I'm talkin' to you

Yeah, you see these niggaz out here
Have you stressin' by the hour
Never turn your back
On your foes them dudes cowards

Some days sweet, and some sour
But we gon' make it together
The world is ours, and you're my flower
If it's ice, you can get that model chicks hit
Never stress about the downfalls, just 'bout the get back

And I ain't sayin' sex is wrong
Just make sure he strap a condom on
And never, ever do it in your mother's home

Yeah, never call a girl a bitch
Show respect, son, pop ya collar
Ain't nothin' free, scrape and lock every dollar

And I will leave you with this
My lil' angel, daddy loves you
How I'd die for you, cry for you, ride for you
Yeah, switchin' handles like you breakin' a zone
Candy paint impala on the golden bridge, bouncin' on chrome

Nothing Gets Crossed Out - Lyrics - Lifted Or The Story Is In The Soil, Keep Your Ear To The Ground - Bright Eyes

Title: Nothing Gets Crossed Out
Album: Lifted Or The Story Is In The Soil, Keep Your Ear To The Ground
Artist: Bright Eyes
Composer(s): Conor Oberst

Lyric:
Well, the future's got me worried
Such awful thoughts
My head's a carousel of pictures
The spinning never stops
I just want someone to walk in front
And I'll follow the leader

Like when I fell under the weight
Of a schoolboy crush
Started carrying her books
And doing lots of drugs
I almost forgot who I was
But came to my senses

Now I'm trying to be assertive
I'm making plans
Wanna rise to the occasion
Yeah, meet all their demands
But all I do is just lay in bed
And hide under the covers

Yeah, I know I should be brave
But I'm just too afraid
Of all this change

And it's to hard to focus
Through all this doubt
I keep making this 'To Do' list
But nothing gets crossed out
Working on the record seems pointless now
When the world ends, who's gonna hear it?

Well, I'm trying to take some comfort
In written words
Yeah, Tim, I heard your album
It's better than good
When you get off tour, I think we should
Hang and blackout together

'Cause I've been feeling sentimental
For days gone by
All those summers singing, drinking
Laughing, wasting our time
Remember all those songs and the way we smiled
In those basements made of music

But now I've got to crawl
To get anywhere at all
I'm not as strong as I thought

So when I'm lost in a crowd
I hope that you'll pick me out
How I long to be found
The grass grew high, I laid down

Now I wait for a hand
To lift me up, help me stand
I've been laying so low
Don't wanna lay here no more

Don't wanna lay here no more
Don't wanna lay here no more
Don't wanna lay here no more
No more, more

But if everything that happens
Is supposed to be
And it's all predetermined
Can't change your destiny
I guess, I'll just keep moving, someday, maybe
I'll get to where I'm going

It Says Here - Lyrics - Billy Bragg

Title: It Says Here
Artist: Billy Bragg
Composer(s): Billy Bragg

Lyric:
It says here that the unions will never learn
It says here the economy is on the upturn
And it says here we should be proud that we are free
And our free press reflects our democracy

Those braying voices on the right of the house
Are echoed down the street of shame
Where politics mix with bingo and tits in a money and numbers game
Where they offer you a feature on stockings and suspenders
Next to a call for stiffer penalties for sex offenders

It says here that this year's prince is born
It says here do you ever wish that you were better informed
And it says here that we could only stop the rot
With a large dose of law and order and a touch of the short sharp shock

If this does not reflect your view you should understand
That those who own the papers also own this land
And they'd rather you believe in coronation street capers
In the war of circulation, it sells newspapers
Could it be an infringement of the freedom of the press
To print pictures of women in states of undress

When you wake up to the fact that you paper is Tory
Just remember, there are two sides to every story

Human Work Of Art - Lyrics - Cliff Richard

Title: Human Work Of Art
Artist: Cliff Richard
Composer(s): Mick Leeson, Peter Benson Vale

Lyric:
No one on earth
Means more to me
Your painted pictures
Are the way that the world should be

Don't ever change it
I don't wanna live in this world without you
Oh no

I can't explain, I can't define
What you do to me, but my senses are so alive
You tell your story
And it's all that I ever believe

Portraits and poetry
Are frozen forms of perfection
But they don't live and breathe
When my heart's in need they don't answer me

You, ooh, you are
You're a human work of art
Walking, talking inspiration

You, ooh, you are
You're a human work of art
You make me love, you make me care

You give me freedom
I don't need when I know you're there
My search is over
I've got all of the riches that money don't buy
Oh no

Your words are poetry
And your face is more than perfection
The way I watch you move it only goes to prove
In everything to do

You, ooh, you are
You're a human work of art
Walking, talking inspiration

You, ooh, you are
You're a human work of art

You're my mission
You're my goal
Ooh you liberate my soul

There's no illusion, that your touch is gold

Portraits and poetry
Are frozen forms of perfection
The way I watch you move it only goes to prove
In everything you do

You, ooh, you are
You're a human work of art
Walking, talking new sensation

You, ooh, you are
You're a human work of art
Walking, talking inspiration

Smile For Me Now - Lyrics - 2pac

Title: Smile For Me Now
Artist: 2pac
Composer(s): Brad Jordan, Tupac Amaru Shakur, Damon E Thomas

Lyric:
There's gonna be some stuff that you're gonna see
That's gonna make it hard to smile in the future
(No noubt)

But whatever you see, through all the rain and pain
You gotta keep a sense of humor
Gotta be able to smile through all this bullshit
Remember that just keep ya head up

Our lifesytle's be close caption, addicted to fatal attraction
Pictures and actions be played back in the mist of mashin'
No fairytales for this young black male
Some see me stranded in this land of Hell. lail and crack cells

[Unverified] culture or the repercussion
While bustin' on back-stabbing vultures
Sellin' my soul for material wishes, fast cars and bitches
Wishin' I live my life a legend, immortalized in pictures

Why shed tears? Save your sympathy
My childhood years was spend burying my peers
In the cemetery, here's a message to the newborns
Waiting to breath, if you believe you can achieve, just look at me

Against all odds, though life is hard, we carry on
Living in the projects, broke, with no lights on
To all the G's that follow me, protect your essence
Born with less but you're still precious, just smile for me now

Oh, won't you smile for me?
(Just smile for me now)
Oh, won't you smile for me?
(Nigga you black, smile for me now)

Oh, won't you smile for me?
(You ain't got nothin' to worry about)
(Smile for me now)
Oh, won't you smile for me?
(And the next generation)

Now as I open up my story with the blaze of your blunt
So you can picture thoughts slowly upon phrases I run
And I can walk you through the dayz that it done
I often wish that I can save everyone

But I'm a dreamer, have you ever seen a nigga
Who was strong in the game?
Over-looking his tomorrows and they finally came
Look back on childhood memories and I'm still feelin' the pain

Turnin' circles in my 9th grade dealin' cocaine
Too many hassels in my local lights, survivin' the strain
And a man without a focused life could drive him insane
Stuck inside a getto fantasy, hopin' it'd change

But we're not focused on reality, we broken in Jane
Had a dream of livin' wealthy, makin' it big
Over football [unverified] what take it, he did

And after all my mama's thankin' God
For blessing her child
All my mama gotz to do now is collect and then smile
(Smile)

Oh, won't you smile for me?
(Smile for me now)

Fuck tha world as we unload, we witness furious speeds
Un-answered questions keep us all stressin' curious G's
Back stabbed and bleeding, crooked thoughs, laced with weed

Learnin', duckin' stray shots, bullets be hot
They burnin', inhale the shroom smoke, visualize the flames
Will I be smothered by my own pain?
Strange wisdoms cowards conversate'

So quick to dis' us, takin' pictures for the Feds
In desperate hopes they get us, hit us all, give us plenty centuries
Forgive my stance, sinse I entered many penitentiaries

The best revenge is fuck friends we milatary minded soljahs
Bustin' shots blindly, trying to find Jehovah
To help me, somebody save me, lost and crazy
Scared to drop a seed, hopin' I ain't cursed babies

Maybe now, niggaz feel me now picture my pain
Embrace my words, make the world change
And still I smile nigga

Oh, won't you smile for me?

Stay Beautiful - Lyrics - Taylor Swift - Taylor Swift

Title: Stay Beautiful
Album: Taylor Swift
Artist: Taylor Swift
Composer(s): Liz Rose, Taylor Alison Swift

Lyric:
Corey's eyes are like a jungle
He smiles, it's like the radio
He whispers songs into my window
In words that nobody knows

There's pretty girls on every corner
That watch him as he's walking home
Saying, does he know
Will you ever know?

You're beautiful, every little piece, love
Don't you know, you're really gonna be someone
Ask anyone

And when you find everything you looked for
I hope your life leads you back to my door
Oh, but if it don't, stay beautiful

Corey finds another way to be
The highlight of my day
I'm taking pictures with my mind
So I can save 'em for a rainy day

It's hard to make a conversation
When he's taking my breath away
I should say
'Hey, by the way'

You're beautiful, every little piece, love
Don't you know, you're really gonna be someone
Ask anyone

And when you find everything you looked for
I hope your life leads you back to my door
Oh, but if it don't, stay beautiful

If you and I are a story
That never gets told
If what you are is a daydream
I'll never get to hold, at least you'll know

You're beautiful, every little piece, love
Don't you know, you're really gonna be someone
Ask anyone

And when you find everything you looked for
I hope your life leads you back to my front door
Oh, but if it don't

Will you stay beautiful
A beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful
A beautiful, beautiful?

Oh, but if it don't
Stay beautiful
Stay beautiful
